My Post Lightning Build

I found the 62 Fairlane on Craigslist in Winchester VA, about 2 hrs away. It's got a ****ty repaint, and interior, but is solid and rust free. Plan is to build it and not do any cosmetic upgrades. The floor pan as been repainted and is very clean. Has a 302/C4 combo.

Going to be tight in the shop, but the Falcon gets saved from the grinder.

^ LOL!

I'll be ordering the AJE strut front end for the Fairlane on Monday, 6 week build time they say. In the meantime the Falcon is getting some brake maintenance.

This is my idea of how fast Brian works.

EDIT: Couple observations from the video. Fram filter ewwww, terrible plug wire routing...

Brian would have had it completed just after breakfast, installed and tuned by noon, raced, enjoyed, then visited Roy Rogers by 4pm, sold and new car delivered by bed time, just to start all over the next day!!

As for the snail.....that's me in high gear on my best day!!

427W...would have been killer in the Lightning.:hh:

Thought you guys might want to have a look. Dart SHP, Forged Scat rotating,Diamond pistons.

Been busy. Back floor and tubs cut out to check tire fitment. Most of the front suspension mocked up.

That is going to look amazing!!!

Want to mini-tub a Lightning? ;)

And talk about a LOL moment... I found this while poking around your Lightning mini-tub thread.

It's in good shape, has about 80,000 miles on it. Don't have any plans to step up the power ATM...just a cruiser for myself and the wife.
