Truck looks really good man. My dad is going to need to clean his flareside up now lol. It does suck when a 10 minute job takes you half the day too lol
Rolled it off the lift and cleaned it up today.

I can’t wait to put some power to these things!
Hey Gary, I should be able to get out in the garage tomorrow night or Sat for sure. I will measure that for you.
Also this was posted in one of the Lightning FB Groups. Thought you'd like it, damn nice truck.

That is awesome! I’ve thought about painting mine somewhat close to that color.
I got the cross member installed and the motor mounts re-worked last week. I then moved on to getting the pinion and driveline angles worked out. I finally got happy with all of those things and tacked the new leaf spring saddles and shock mounts on. I was about to take the rear out to final weld everything and set up the gears but some measurements were bothering me. Long story short, the rear tires were toed in about 5/8”. After pulling the housing out and checking it internally with a straight edge the axle tubes are not true.
I sent a message to another shop that does rear diff work to see if it can be fixed or if I need to get another housing and start over..

If it was me? I would run a custom hub. You can run a 8.6" lower without changing water pump. I already did it. With a 3.25" upper at 7000 rpm he will be near max (rated) impeller speed. If he does decide to change timing cover/ water pump then he has lots more options. With a Griptec upper pulley I'm telling you it will be much better. Seen them work first hand on a couple different set ups. I really wish I ordered a griptec for my Novi. Would have raw data to back it up. With that said I still managed to see 23lbs boost with my Novi with proper belt tension/alignment. Did require some diy bracing but I did it. With whatever blower he uses he will fight slip and bracket flex. May as well use a blower that will meet his end goals. And he already has it.

Man you've really gone the distance on this thing!!Friday I went to get my rear differential housing from TRZ Motorsports. Rained the whole ride home so it’s a little rusty. They straightened the tubes and added bracing.
I got it back under the truck and sitting on the wheels to finish mocking up the new saddles and shock mounts. Lots of measurements, adjusted, set angles and tack weld in place.
Pulled it back out, cut old saddles off finished welding all new stuff on, cleaned up and started paint.

Got a question. I’m waiting on my 2.7 griptec pulley for my ysi. I have a 8.1 lower. Do you think I’ll have any belt slip? It’s a 8 rib setup.
Well he does have a griptec pulley. Those things are awesome! I wish I would have gotten one when I ran my blower. They help a ton. But it will be easy to tell if you do have slip if you datalog boost.100% will have belt slip.
