PimpxShift install and wiring questions

I used my factory FPR and it is boost referenced so for me no need for an adjustable one. I didn’t see any obstructions in mine (my truck had 2,800 miles on it when I bought it)

I take that back, I found a picture and I used a different vacuum line.

I’m using an Aeromotive FPR and the vacuum/boost reference is on the side so the factory line just simply wouldn’t work. Glad it didn’t or it could have caused some issues down the road!

I never thought about using studs on the upper intake bolts... dang that would make those rear 2 bolts so much easier and keeping the gasket in place while putting the upper on.

Just incase you guys don’t know.... the wire that the factory O2 sensor plugs into that is part of the starter wiring harness runs up with the battery cables and there is another plug by the pass side fender. You could hook your Spartan controller into that plug and just run the O2 sensor down to the exhaust.

Edit: here are some pictures.

Dang! Nice to know! Thanks! I just ordered my kit so I'm doing more researching! Great threads!

Hey, Mike, not to hijack the thread, but where in NC did you settle? I'm in Raleigh. John Webb is in Charlotte.

Hey! Cool some local L's! I'm in Durham. Renting a house here for a couple years before we buy. Looking for where to buy before settling! I work in biotech so RTP is where I'll be settling nearby.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll be moving to the northern part of South Carolina in August. About 40 mins from the water...
