I know you guys are gonna hate to hear this, but the world of speed is new to me.
What can I do with a predator with a stock L? Is it just used to enter programs that you have made for you? Or can it make changes on its own?
Java, hello, and thanks for your post! No question is a stupid question when it comes to tuning, so please don't ever mind to ask anything that you may need.
Here's a previous post I made in the other thread in this forum on page 5 near the bottom:

It also has a dynograph attached of a 2002 stock truck, down to the paper air filter, with before/after tuning. Here's the link to that dynograph as well:

As for what you can do with the Predator, you can use the defaulted included tuning that comes on it, or you can have a custom program(s) made for you. You're able to tweak all files yourself via the end-user options with what controls that the device gives you in those options, and of course you're able to have custom tuning made for you by a DiabloSport ChipMaster-Revolution dealer.
I realize that everytime you make a change that effects breathing you need to make a tweak to the computer, but does that program always need to be written but someone else?
You actually do not always have to tweak the tune for certain changes/additions in modifications. There are certain instances where one should always get a redo, however, such as a Pulley upgrade, or full exhaust (such as Long Tubes, off roads or high flows, etc.). When customers purchase from me, I support them in tune changes for future modifications, as should any reputable tuning dealer.
I hope I answered your questions to your satisfaction. If you need anything else, please feel free to ask at your convenience!
Sincerely...
