GEN 1 Timeslips

Kickass times Larry!

I knew your truck had 12's in it with some good tires. Amazing the difference they can make.
Sam: Man you getting on down there. With some drag radials or other sticky tires you'll see lower 13's easy

only question is...what'd it take to get there besides tires???

A week ago, I ran a 13.66@99.96 on ET Streets! The track was extremely cold and weather was fair, on a good warm track I think it'll go 13.50 with no problem! I'm happy...for now...

Ran a 9.8(1/8) on a 85 degree night. In Kansas with high humidity. (bone stock)

Hey, isn't anyone going to the track this year? Is everyone going slower, how about some times fellas?

Bone stock, best was 15.5 (with less than 200 miles on her). Last year managed a 14.5@89 running basically on 6 cylinders, so I expect a much better time this year!!!

Well so far I have hit the 12.8 sec mark at 104 mph on the engine. Next Friday I will be running straight 104 octane unleaded and timing set somewhere between 14-16 degrees. I am pulling the belt off and icing down the intake and hoping for a 12.5 pass. New times next week............
Thank you, Struckby

Got my ranchos installed and tested yesterday(on the street) and what a differance, now if i can get some tires that hook, i wont be leaving 50+ feet of rubber on the road.......

planning on a trip to the track within the next couple of weeks.

will let you all know how that goes.

Hey guys I finally have a worthy timeslip.
R/T .535
'60 1.891
1/8 8.433
MPH 82.20
1000 11.022
1/4 13.224
MPH 101.79
Here are the mods,
Diesel tube
1.7's
75mm throtle body
underdrive pullies
PA valve body
MSD Digital 6
125 shot on a NOS 5115 kit

Hey import eater , did the larger trottle body make any noticable difference? How about some times off the juice?

Nothing strikes faster than Lightning!

Fastest time ever on the truck was 9.25 at 76mph. Stock as a clock. That was in 95 (truck is 93') Went Feb. of this year. Best E.T. of 9.65 (me driving this time)@74.6mph. R/T absolutly sucked. I think .77 was the best R/T. Mods are:
Bassani Equal Length Tuned Headers
MSD 6T ignition
15" Crag SS mags (probably why it was so slow
Purple Hornies Glass Packs
Downs Roll Pan
Cervinis Cowl Hood

I have no idea why the truck was as quick as it was stock, but my dad's R/T's were half mine. . .I need to get 17"s back on there. Going to set timing to 14 and see what happens. going to the 1/8 mile again Thurs. night. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
