We finally got the Novi 2000 installed. Big renegade lower, 3.5”? blower pulley, 80lb injectors, walbro 525 pump, e85, stock long block. Going to tune and dyno tmrw.

Truck made 238 hp last time it was down here. What you guys think it will make or will it even survive the dyno session ?

Doing it old school except for the fuel. There were a lot of solid running trucks 20 years ago with that kind of simple combo.

She'll hold together!

Well guys we got it tuned and it survived the dyno. Picked up only 100hp and 15psi. Wished for a little more power but we’re glad it survived the dyno..it a 400,000 mile motor. Plan to take it to the track Saturday and see how it runs.

Well that's interesting. Was it fuel limited? 15 psi on e85 should've gotten you about 200 extra at the wheels, so that's a bit surprising.

Nope plenty of fuel, just didn’t wanna make much power. She’s tired lol

Definitely been an overachiever and a faithful companion!

15psi through an intercooler? What pulleys were you running? Upper & lower.

And you made 15psi at 5,000 rpms?

8” lower
3.25” upper
5,200 rpm
3.54 step up ratio
45,312 impeller speed
55,000 max impeller speed

I have a hard time believing it made 15 pounds of boost through an intercooler at that impeller speed.

14.7 lbs of boost will double your hp.

You are correct sir, wife was mistaken on boost. Just now stopped to gas up and watched the video. It only made 13 psi with that combo. I have some videos but can’t post from Tapatalk

You will make about 5-6% extra power per pound of boost with a blower. That is a percentage of your NA power. Your numbers are reading a bit low though. At 13psi it should have picked up about 155hp. Though without knowing A/F and timing then the discussion is moot. I wouldn't worry one bit about the numbers. The trap speed at the track will tell you how much power you are making. For reference, when I had stock heads and cam with my Novi at same boost level I went 8.14 in the 1/8 mile with mid 80's mph. Definitely heavier than yours too.

It will generally double power of timing and air fuel is right. However the blower Rob's some of that. Turbo will double it without loss.

Timing was 21 or 22 degrees, lamba in .79 to .82 range. We expected more power to but I honestly didn’t think it would survive the dyno session. It is what it is tho and wife said it felt lot faster when she took it down the road. Didn’t have any belt slip or sling one off so the brackets seem to work

Yep don't worry about the bench racing. It's just fun to be geeky with numbers. Sometimes we get a bit carried away with it. Especially me.

Daniel at TSS going to tune it for you? You running that pump in the stock rear tank?

Yep, Daniel one of the few who will still mess with these trucks.

Did install the pump on stock rear tank, I have a spare rear tank I’m gonna experiment with on the workbench and see how much fuel needs to be in it to keep from starving it on launch.

From what I can tell so far with mine, 1/4 tank.
