There has been a strong number of Lightnings sighted around central Ohio. Come on guys wheres everyone been hiding?

I see a few on my commute, but other than a nod and wave, that's about it.

I probably will not be there. The last time I went there was only jeeps and a few low rider s10s. It was a waste of a drive. I may go up Sunday for the cruise.

I spotted a white 01 heading from colrain Ave... was that you quik? It had a billet grill. I wasnt driving the L at the time..
 
Not mine, it has been in the garage since last Friday night when I went to edgewater and ran my new best time. I need a better 60' to get the ET down.

New here

I am a new owner of a Red '03 Lightning. I have had it for about 3 weeks now. Looking forward to meeting others from the Columbus area.

I haven't raced yet, but am planning on it. I only have a little over 600 miles on it, so haven't wanted to abuse it too early, but it's pretty much broken in now. From what I have been hearing, they don't REALLY run well until a couple thousand miles.

I am planning on heading out to National Trails soon, probably in the next couple of weeks just to get a base of what this monster can do! I'll drop a line here to see if you guys are going so we can try to meet up.

I am also planning on running some Autocross with the local SCCA. Going fast in a straight line is fun, but so is turning!

I am a member of the Ohio Valley Region of the SCCA. Pretty cool group. I hit Mid-Ohio a couple of times a year to watch the Vintage/Cart Races.

Hey JFX,

I used to be a member of OVR SCCA some years back. I used to race autocross with them in my Escort GT and my Mustang 5.0. I've been checking their site, but don't see any names that I recognize from the old days. I am definitely looking forward to taking the L out there to see what it can do.
 
I'll be moving back to cincinnati hopefully this weekend.
So i might see some of you around.
Are there any hang out spots or anything like that on the weekend's?

Well, if you meet an L owner in cincy that has the name "John" - it could any three of us.
Joke - we tried to have a 'meet' and three people showed up- all named John... scarey.

I'd like to try the 'meet' again to see if we can some more bodies involved.

Is Cincinnati "Home" or Virginia Beach?

Yeah i'm originally from cincy. I joined the navy and was stationed in va beach. So now i'm out of the navy and moving back, but only until the fall then i'm going to college.
Let me know when you guys are going to have a meet or whatever. I think i may try to go to edgewater next weekend to see what the truck will run.

I was surprised to see Edgewater is running test & tun tomorrow; on the fourth! I don't think I'll be going since I am expected to attend family functions. Saturday is the reds game I'm expected to go to; but it may be sold out.

Whats up?? PWR_WHLS -- I was driving around the other day after I put on my Boost guage and drove past your house, saw your L in the driveway. I live down the way from you. We'll have to meet up some time? I dont know if anybody does any cruising or whatever with the L's
 
the L is a source of issues right now that I want to get straightened out. I burnt up the 30amp circuit breaker with my 40amp fan ... so I have to order that.
the plugs need changing. I get severe belt slippage (i think that is what it is) when rolling into it VERY quickly.

Other than that; it's very driveable. :tu:
We will have to get together; even if it's at the steack n' shake @ 2am :D

We could first meet at "The Wheel" around 3pm ... I think food would be good at 2am. :dp: :hh:

check out the road course race in Indy next weekend- that should be great. I may go.

I'm back from vaca - how long you in cincy?

oh yeah- I was jokin' about the drunkin grub @ 2am; but it's something to consider anyway ;)

I'm expecting metco's lower links tomorrow morning. Will you be around for Edgewater test & tune this week (wed & fri?)

Yeah i'd love to go to the track wednesday. What time do they start?
Also i think i may need directions. It's been a while since i've been there. I'm coming from Loveland.
