Definitely worth getting those dirty vs oem set

Absolutely! Unfortunately I didn't take great care of my OEM ones (still have them) so I may be able to freshen em up. Some stitching/fabric from the lightning bolt has worn off my OEM over the years. For sure will put these in the truck for daily use.

Soak em in cleaner. Pressure wash em. Use paint pen deal. Be good for shows

Definitely not much of an update but here is what I've got.

Also has anyone seen that cowl caulking look like that? I assume just normal aging. Can anyone explain the purpose?

^^^ It’s seam seal.

If you want to go that far, chip/scrape it ALL out; clean the seam and surrounding surface thoroughly; replace the sealant with a true automotive seam seal; prep, prime and repaint the cowl valley.

As a quicker, albeit only temporary, bandaid chip/scrape out the loose stuff; clean up the seam as best you can; then apply an adequate, if not generous amount of AC duct sealant or some of that “flex seal” stuff to fill and seal the seam; then coat it with some rust converter.

I just want to second this quote.

Yeah I'm pretty bummed I'm needing to gamble and hope nothing happens to them. Collective fingers crossed!

Slowest process ever haha. I guess that's what I should expect from a semi retired one man operation. Honestly though I'm very happy with him and I don't need it as a daily driver so I told him from the beginning no need to rush.

Little bit of an update for you guys, not much though. Finally got glass out. This will be getting fixed today. Corner areas of rear glass. Worse than I thought but I knew I had some rust there

Man that sucks. At least 1 of our trucks has a bit of rust starting in that overlap so I’m guessing it’s worse up further. Post pic of the repair if you don’t mind

I'll try to get up there today and see if he's done it. I'm sort of afraid to post (but I will) because I'd hate to hear "Oof! And you're paying this guy?!?" Haha

He didn't have it done when I went up there but he should be sending pics soon.

Ah man it’s all good. If it were easy everybody would be a body man. You won’t see the repair anyway but preventing it from coming back is the tough part

Interior removed and some minor rust on the floor covered with por 15. Next step is Dynamat. Those pictures will be posted when completed

I personally did the por 15 so it might look rough if someone was expecting it to be from body person which I certainly an not haha

Are replacement seat belt buckles available anywhere other than junkyard? I am having a hard time finding

Are you cleaning the carpet or replacing it?
Oof. Should have mentioned that haha. Was going to clean it (can probably clean up well) but wife bought me replacement carpet

You can find some seatbelt parts on eBay. I also need one buckle for my middle seat. The button part fell out. Don't understand how that happens

Nice humble drag about having a middle seat
