27 years ago today

Heres a little context on pricing, I have the original window stickers on all of my trucks/cars (that matter) and the invoice from the 95 Lightning I almost bought, but bought a 95 Mustang GT instead (still kick myself 24+ years later!). I soooo want a bone stock 95 White L, but anyway. I had 2- Gen 2's and was at least smart enough to not modify either beyond a tune, pulleys, etc.

*My 1993 L with all 4 options- $22600 Sticker, probably paid around $20k A-Plan
*The loaded 1995 Lightning I almost bought- $24309 sticker (A-Plan $20649)
*The 2002 Gen 2 Lightning I bought new- $33050 sticker. Bit of an increase in the 7 years since the end of the Gen1 Lightnings!

*For context the loaded 1995 Mustang GT I did buy- $22405 sticker
*My loaded 1991 Mustang GT (still have it (in pieces))- $17869 sticker (a "similar" car in 2020 would be nearly $50k!)
*The 1993 Mustang LX 5.0 Notchback I had- $16179 sticker!

I'm curious what different options they had? That 95 had a factory option pkg discount of $600, so the high sticker was nearly $25k.

I'll take a picture of the window sticker from mine this evening.

I paid $11,800 for the cheapest truck Ford made in 1992. In 1993 I saw lightnings as much as $27k on the sticker. I do think it was the most expensive thing ford sold.

My first Lightning was a new 94 that stickered for $22,227. The 95's were on the lots so I got it for $18,000 tax, title, out the door. 9 months later after 3 trips to the body shop for acid rain damage, Ford traded me for the 95 #2020 I have now. I paid the difference in sticker price.

Congrats, that is one hell of a long time, but time well spent on the best truck ever created by the Ford Motor Company.

I agree. Iv had more fun over 27 years in that truck than I would admit. Lots of great friends and family have been in that truck with me. Several have passed and I always think of them riding and enjoying the truck with me.

My grandfather, brother and best friend all loved this truck all have passed on. The memories can never be replaced. 1000's of great times were had by all.
