How is that better than a Turbo Guard?

Probably no better except possibly filtering out slightly smaller particles. Just interested in this type filter for race only applications. Would like one for my gen 2 also

I also feel that this style may provide better flow compared to the turbo guard style due to more area of filtering surface. I have read that screens attached directly to turbos can often times flow less than just a big conical filter.
