Will airline fares decrease?

I never traveled that much until I got this job in Baltimore, and I fly more often now. I'm not worried at all to tell you the truth, since I have the philosophy of "If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen, nothing you can do about it." But I was wondering what happens to ticket prices after a horrible tragedy such as this one?Will they try to lower them to try to regain customers and their trust? What has happened in the past?

Not a HUGE decrease, because that would make them look desperate. But yes, count on fare wars.
