Trans.. temp sender install

Anyone know best location for a temp sender on the transmission? 2000 lightning.... which line is the return from trans cooler? Thanks

there is a port on the side of the tranny that you just remove the plug in there now and install the temp sender that comes with the guage, and then just wire it to your gauge.

On my 2002 4R100 remove the small plug and install the supplied sender.

It is on the drivers side, above the pan rail and in front of the shift cable.

thats the same place i put mine. easy to remove the plug and didn't spill a drop of fluid.
