....Mega Ford Weekend ! I know that Bernie and myself showed up last year, me for the first time. This event is GREAT ! Best all Ford show I've been to short of World Ford Challenge and that one is defunct.

Check out the website for all the info and just plan on it. Put it on your calender, take a vacation day or two if ya have to, BUT BE THERE !!! Nothin' but Fords all weekend long from slowish to Mega Quick ! There is a Truck/Lightning class too !!!

Cars come from far away for this one. Last year a '65 Mustang with a cammer in it showed up from the Bay area of CA as well as a REAL Thunderbolt.

I went to the semi finals last year and took home $75 Canadian dollars for it ! Ya, there's payouts not just trophies for this one. Plus there's a car show to boot !

It's in Canada so if ya don't have a Passport or that goofy drivers license thingy then get one and get it NOW ! Put it on your "to do" list for next week.

Marty, would have to say Sunday would be best. Sunday only is the car show. I think Sunday is eliminations for most all the classes. There is a special Shootout on Saturday and qualifying rounds are on Saturday too.

Last year was my first year up there and the two day show was squeezed into one day because of weather concerns. Not sure how the normal format goes but guessing most all the action should be on Sunday.

Sent Dale an email asking him how the schedule is for the weekend. Hope to get an answer back soon so I can answer your question for sure.

Sunday, SUNday, SUNDAY ! That's the best day. We had 5 hits today and they ran the FE Shootout and a Cash Bash. Supposed to get a couple of hits in the morning tomorrow (Sunday) then eliminations start at 1 PM.

Truck/Lightning class has 7 trucks in it again this year. Just one Lightning though. Was talking with Dale yesterday and he was telling me if 6 didn't show up for the class it would be eliminated and we could all move into Open Comp B. Thankfully some more showed up this morning !

I did manage to stay awake long enough. Some more pics from today. For me the most interesting classes are the Nostalgia Stock & Super Stock. MFW allows other brands to compete so the flavor of the classes are like the Super Stock wars of the early thru mid '60s.

So here are some more pics and yeah there's a lot 60's style Stock and Super Stock type cars.

FE big block in thr Cougar...

'63 Fairlane....tubbed.

A clone Thunderbolt with just s 390 in it. Still, it runs in the tens !

Everytime I'd see this car I'd think Shirley Shahan (Drag On Lady) because of the paint scheme...

FE powered '57 2-door post. Yeah, it's quick !
