Have 2" drop shackles on my L and want to know how much better leaf springs would be and if shackles can cause the front alignment to go out. Thanks

The problem with shackles is that they move alot in turns because you have changed the levelage angle[by making the distance between the spring hanger and spring farther away].So to answer your question if you are wanting handling then springs but if you are after the looks then the shackles,since they are cheaper and easier to install.Now I have to plug my bar.With my bar you can go either way since it does not allow any side movement of the axle.
As for alignment the height of the back of your truck WILL change alignment angles mainly the caster and toe.Caster more so than toe.So have the truck at the height that you like THEN take it to the shop.Stan
