replacement engine

have a little ford bronco II, need to buy a
replacement motor, anyone tell me where i can
find new or overhauled motors fairly good price, looking for another 6 cylinder,
after 229,000 miles this one is done!!

Will the newer 2.8 fit? Id call the salvage yards around there and see what you can dig up in the low mileage/totaled trucks. Good luck.

I have an 86 bronco II and am getting ready to replace 2.9 with a 4.0 from an explorer. Everything I hear says it's a direct swap except for computer and harness. 4.0 is way better than 2.9 or older 2.8 anyway. Find a wrecked Ranger with a 4.0 and buy the whole truck. do the swap and sell the rest back to the salvage yard.
