has anyone been able to get rid of wheel hop without a 4-link or ladder bars.I have a set of custom made slapper bars but it does not completely get rid of the wheel hop.

Check with Jerrod Rothey on the L-List. He's got either a 4-link or ladder bar setup in his truck.....can't remember which one it is off the top of my head, but I think what he has works good for him.

Hey Richard, Sal here. Rancho makes "Torque Arm" Traction bars. They totally eliminate wheel hop. They list the application for 92-94 F-150 shortbed, but it's the same for 95 as well.

Here's a pic of the Ranchos on my truck:

You can also find a page with how they mount up and such at http://nloc.org/members/jsparkm/rancho.html

I've been running them for three years now and I get NO axle rotation at all. It simply can't move with those long torque arms and any attempts at torque twist are transferred forward into the frame and produces nice weight transfer.

They look kinda wonky, but they sure do work!

Thanks for the info guys. I will go down to my local 4x4 parts shop and check them out.

Jeff,
Can you give me an aproximate price on those Rancho Torque Arms? I thought the axle hop in my Mustang was bad, but this Lightning redefinds it in my book!! Thanks,

Curt

Summit carries them for about $280 - you have to order two pieces, the bars and the brackets. The Parts Numbers page on the main site has the numbers you'll need.
