I have been taking it easy on my truck for a month knowing something wasn't right. The last time I drove it it was popping when making turns so I parked it till I could tear it down. I already found a low millage pull from an explorer and bought new gears since mine were howling.

Where can I get new spider gears so I can rebuild this diff to put in my other truck since I'm pretty sure it has an open diff in it. The wheels spin opposite directions when off the ground.

Youll need a new carrier, they dont sale spider gears alone

Mr.Giddy speaks the truth,I bought the Diff. Repair kit this past July at my local dealership, they
Even had it in stock too! Try part# 2L1Z-4215-EA DIFF GEAR KIT I remember the price was
around $115.00 The kit includes the spider gears, shims, crosspin ,C-clips and the bolt to lock in
the crosspin. You might try Latemodel Restoration Supply (5.0Resto.com) they also used to sell
a Diff repair kit,the price was alot better too. Good luck,I hope this helps.

The other thing is you must know the axle code! The dimensions on the spiders changed. Going this out the hard way
