After much digging, I came up with an alternative to the diesel tube set-up.
I found an intake tube from a 94 Dodge van wtih the 318cid(I know I hate to put a Dodge part on too). I ran it from the drivers side air dam vent,up through the wheel well, and it plugs directly into the stock intake box tube! The scoop fits perfectly in the air dam vent. I drilled a few holes in the bottom of the vent to keep water from staying there. It seems to work really good. And it only costs about $20 from Dodge. The tube fit perfectly from end to end!
