Question about turn signal/cruise control

Driving 94L today at 65 mph with the cruise on. turned on the right turn signal and it knocked the cruise off. Tested it out several times, did the same thing. Its just the right turn signal, not the left. (cruise recall has been done) Any thoughts or ideas.

Multi-function switch or clock spring ...

Is there anything else controlled by the multi-function switch that does not work?

Does the horn work?
 
horn does work. turn signal switch is on the column. cruise button is on steering wheel. left turn signal doesn't interfere when cruise is on
 
Sounds like something is back feeding through the brake light circuit to kick off the cruise. Probably just a bad switch or a bad ground.
 
That's what I'm thinking - see if you have any voltage in the break lamp ckt with r turn on
