From everything I've read in the thread I'd be looking at shift linkage / cable adjustment, MLPS, wiring going to & from. Could also have an ignition switch issue ( it's not part of the key ) or the ignition tumbler could be starting to fail ( I've seen the tip randomly twist off ).
