Guys this weekend on NMRA TV we're broadcasting (for the second time this year..) same-day race action from the NMRA event at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Georgia.

No big wheelstands yet, but we did some cool interviews and test and tune action from Friday. Interviews were with Vortech Outlaw 10.5W superstars Chip Havemann and Tim Lynch, and a more in-depth interview of the Steve Posey / Tony Akins team who have their new ride running the BFGoodrich Drag Radial class, an addition to their MSD Super Street Outlaw car, making their team a 2-car effort! Both cars have the same look - 2003 Cobra's!

What can the NMRA do to get more trucks racing in the truck class? Off-topic from the video but a good question anyways..!

besides the usual more payout and end of the year prizefund. ffw had a new truck to give away a few years past. you've gotten better with exposure of the truck class in the last year. But the magazines(mmff 5.0) still barely give us one or two lines if they even do that, whats the deal with given us a little bit of coverage? its hard enough to get sponsors for the truck class the way it is now roll in the fact that your 2 major mags. wont even print coverage of that class. Why would a sponsor want to sponsor you if you cant get exposure for them. We buy products made for mustangs and adapt them to our trucks. you cant open a truck magazine and find a performance part.

I'm proud to be part of the NMRA, i've been in the top ten 4 outta the last 5 years. I've been running this class since you started it. i schedule my vacation around the race schedule. although i'll be missing a few races this year due to rebuilding the motor we plan to attend atleast 3 or 4 races this year.
