NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl Host Hotel!!!

Sharon just called me and she said as of 5:45pm the Hotel had 26 rooms left not reserved for the weekend. If you have a problem getting a reservation make sure you tell them the code#85701 and it's for the NMRA/NMCA Fastest Street Car Rt 66 Event Block rooms under Sharon Shaws name our Marketing Directors name. I think our problem is the communication between the management at the hotel and it's employees making reservations. we had 41 rooms blocked and there is 26 left so try again. Please:eek:ldtu: once again I'm sorry for the confusion.

Jeff, I just (I mean Just) called. Talked to a lady. She said to have Sharon Shaw call Debbie Carter (or email her) and talk to her about this. She said there are no (NO) rooms left and to tell her that the block (only block she has listed) isn't called NMRA/NMCA it is called "Fastest Street RT 66 Event"

This sucks for guys that want rooms and are going to miss out!!!!

That's the block she gave me my room under back on Friday.

I have had this problem quite often when we do group motorcycle tours. Sometime there are only 1 or 2 employees out of 10 that know what is going on.

I bet the rooms are still there.

I'm holding on to my original Fairfield reservation as a back-up. If you can't lock this one down the Fairfield is only 2 miles away. Same exit, but right by the expressway.
 
I too called right back after you said your wife just verified the rooms and they knew nothing of it. They tried to get the supervisor but she was gone all ready. So I left a voice message for Debbie Carter and told her I needed some rooms. So we'll see if she calls back tomorrow.

Might have to stay at the other hotel at the rate this is going......
 
Glad I got mine Sat! No prob with the code or rate, but wanted to stay over Sun night and she said they were booked, but to call back later and see if any free up.
 
This is really starting to **** me off I'm all over this!!! This hotel crap is not part of my job but it looks like I need to handle it I'll get back with everyone soon
 
Yup... I got s-k-rewed out of a room the other morning. The lady I talked to had no knowledge of a "NMRA" group. It was the "Route 66" group...

How many rooms did they have? 3?

I've still got my reservation at the Fairfield South, but saving $40/night and staying at a casino would be a LOT better. ;m
 
I gave up and made my reservations at the Red Roof Inn. Nothing fancy by any means but, its 5 miles from the track and was $59 a night.
 
OK if you would like to reserve a room we are going to bypass the front desk and go to the manager her name is Debbie Carter her number is 815-744-9400 EXT 1546 She just got in at 2pm central time so give her a call.

I just talked to Debbie and got my reservations. Glad I wasted all that time calling yesterday and noone knew anything:no:

But, we're good to go now!!!!!!!!!
 
SORRY GUYS just got the LAST room according to Debbie Carter.She wanted me to let everyone know they're outta rooms.THANKS JEFF!!!!!!!!!!
