My funny story for today.

So I'm installing my line mod valve. Real simple install, everything goes as planned and I get everything buttoned up in about an 2 hours. I check out the transmission oil that came out and it looks great. I deceide to save $20 and re-use it. I fill her back up, add 1/2 quart of new fluid to top it off and I go for a test drive.

Shifts great, hits 2nd nicely and even chirps =)

I get back home and realize my tailgate was down

Of course, by bed is emply . . .

I scamper off to retrace my steps and sure enough, I find all the contents from my bed, scattered in the street.

- my box of gloves
- my stock size ASP upper pulley and allen key
- the top to the 30qt pan I used to drain the tranny into
- a box with an aftermarket pulley in it

BUT MY 11 QTS OF TRANNY FLUID (STILL IN THE BOX) ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND!!!

Somebody actually nabbed my tranny fluid :(
I can't help but laugh at my own idiocy.

Oh well, the lesson learned is simple:

CLOSE YOUR TAILGATE BEFORE TESTING NEW MODS

I only spilled, at best, a few drops of fluid. :D

If they would have taken my gloves I would have been pissed.
