This is my truck when I first bought it. It is stock now and Jeff J. purchased the parts from me. It has drop I-beams in the front and both drop shackles and hangers in the rear. It also had shorter shocks and I had to remove the front sway bar. Someone says there is a way to use the sway bar by flipping it but I am not sure. The ride was better with the truck lowered, I swear. However, it did not handle quite as well and I would scrape the front spoiler on hard cornering.

This is a shot of the tires and the Bassani Side Exit exhaust. The tires were off of a Cobra, I thinkthey were 245 45 17. They could have been a little taller and a little wider for my taste.

Hope this helps!

My 93 is also lowered similar to the other truck, which I have to say is a very nice looking Lightning! I also have the Belltech I-beams, no sway bar, and rear shackles/hangers. Mine may be a bit higher, because in the pic it had 275-40-17's on it. Currently it has 255-50-17 front and 275-50-17 rear. I plan to redo the suspension a bit, or possibly add air ride for adjustability.

If it's not much trouble, what kit did you go with and how much did it cost? Did you do the install yourself or did you have it done by professional shop. Was C-notching a requirment? You said the truck handled worse. I am trying to acheive better handling so would say a 2-3 drop achieve this or should I keep the stock heigth. Any info would be appreciated.

Alot of guys go with the eibach springs and rear shackles(mine are western chasis brand). The springs are 2" on a regular F-150, but on an L it is about 3/4". The shackles in the rear are ajustable 1" or 2". Most say the 2" setting makes the truck sag in the rear. But, on mine the 2" setting is okay(sits real level with full gas tanks).

I have the Steeda kit installed in my truck. I only have the coil springs and the rear hangers, not the shocks. I bought the kit used (never opened or installed) and installed Bell Tech Nitro shocks. I far as I can tell, it rides pretty much the same, but sits almost 2" lower. It just looks good. I also used the 2" drop setting on the rear hangers on my L, and it sits level, not nose up, but I have a roll pan and no spare tire. I'm still running 275/60-17 tires, but may go to 50, 45, or 40 series tires for improved handling. I feel, the tires are area to address to improve handling. From competing in SCCA events and corner carving on the steet, the tires are always sliding.
