pop the black plastic center off and secure them with something better than they do. They will fall off.

otherwise. polished and chrome is the best choice and widened stockers is even better. What size tire do you plan on running?

I agree with FlatOut… I used plastic epoxy on mine after I noticed the centers wanted to release once warmed up. No issues since.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on getting a set widened, but the lack of tire selection eventually pushed me to the 20s.

Will be same as core riders or close!
My truck is pretty low

Allows pretty cheap options even if I go nitto

Considering all the repop wheel options LMR has now I’m surprised they haven’t tried an 18 or 20” option Gen1 wheel. At the very least a 17x10 option! Maybe if enough of us showed interest they’d be willing too?!?

That was my holy grail for a long time. Lack of tire options has killed my interest. Half of my reason for going Crown Vic front end will be improved wheel and tire options. Not much out there for us any more.

I mean mickey Thompson has the street R in a 28", 30", and 31" for a 17" wheel.... I guess for all the non horsepower having people these could be extreme lol. But if you got widened stockers you should have power.

You have that option, but I wouldn't be interested in it for a daily driver and I also want the truck to handle and those don't have the sidewall stiffness for that.

I feel the same way. I have no interest in running a competition style drag radial for street use.

Unfortunately there's only 2 tire sizes (27-28 lowered, 31-32 stock height) that really work for our trucks and a 17" wheel from Nitto, but same could be said for 18" and 20" maybe 3-4 but I don't personally like the look of 20" wheels on the Gen1. Choices become even less when lowered 3/4 like me. I already run the Nitto NT555 G2 on the front because they are one of the few tires that fit, so I have the added benefit of tires/tread matching which yes matters to my OCD! :ROFLMAO: I've been pleased so far with traction the 1 time I've used them at the track, but I'm still low power compared to many. Noticeable difference on the street as well, but I don't roll on them all the time.

Unfortunately those are drag radial sizes. There aren't as many good options in the regular radials. I'm hoping to go 18x10 with 295/45 on both ends like my gen 2, but may end up having to do 18x8 with a 255/45 up front for clearance.

Agreed… I called Nitto asking if they could possibly make a 305/45/17 in their normal radial… I was shutdown quickly! Till they offer something else the 255/50/17 will have to do for normal street driving. I have no reason to drive around on DRs all the time other than the extra width does look cool!

Toyo makes 1 in the 888 tire to

My cobra has 315 35 on rear

I feel alot of options for lowered trucks

888 or a mickey tire will be prob what I go with

My truck is around 600 on motor before boost :p

Yeah you'll need a bit wider tire to look correct with the 11" wheel... I only went 10" wide.

Does the white truck and blue truck have the same size tire? I guess I am old school, but the blue truck needs more sidewall IMO

This truck has widened rears
And was 390 m&h tire in these pics

M&h doesn't truly measure out

But gives ya a ideal
Plus truck is mini or tubbed I forget

My goal is to get mine mini tub to.
Aka so don't gotta run much spacer

I'm already ladder bar setup
