Gen1 Lightning Camshaft swap

I've searched the forums unable to find the answer. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a 92 F150 Flareside with a 302 and Mazda 5 speed. Several years ago the truck was unfortunately housed in a leaking garage and the damp conditions took a toll on the otherwise excellent frame. I have been slowly cleaning it up.

The driveshaft is heavily rusted, and I have been thinking of swapping to a Gen1 aluminum driveshaft both for appearance and to reduce rotating mass.

My questions are:
1) Will this be a simple bolt on swap, or will it require any customizing?
2) Is it really worth it?

Your insight is appreciated.

HMM title says camshaft but you say D/S.
Depending on if yours is a s/b or a l/b will determine length requirements. As for the 5 speed you may have to change the snout.
Length and input splines should be about the only things that will cause problems....
