I just bought my first lightning. It's a Red 2004, 81k miles. It's in great shape. Bone stock minus a flowbastard! I got the window sticker with it but no SVT certification. I'm the 3rd owner. It has been a Texas truck all it's life, according to the carfax. Originally sold in Amarillo. I had a friend at a Ford dealer pull the oasis for me and it showed just small front end stuff fixed while it was under warranty, Nothing major!!!
It needs a windshield, boost pump, drivers side rear axle seal, windows re-tinted and the cruise on/off button, tabs are broken. I'm going to do a full tune up on it also. I use all Motorcraft products.
I love it so far!! I own 5 GT Mustangs so I'm not new to the Ford world. I bought this to replace my 1990 F250 351w, 5spd and boy is it BIG difference all the way around!
The Mods planned are a CAI, Headers, heat exchanger, tune and full set of gauges to watch everything.
Anyone have any idea on how to ID what # built it is?
