I tried doing research on the net and there are no solid sources...

Hey, I noticed that not all Lightnings have leather and suede, and that some have just the weave for the black fabric. I thought it was an 01-under thing, but I just saw an 01 with leather. What's up with that?

All the trucks have identical seats - 99 - 2004 is the same

If you saw something else it was aftermarket

The Weave you describe is the correct seat material for the center of the seats

Yeah, I saw this in one truck:

And this one has aftermarket seats?

Both look factory to me, and I've sat in trucks with both.

Both look the same to me and look stock
Top one is definitely stock
Whats different about the second ?

One has that weave and one has leather.

I have only seen / heard of one truck that swapped the leather weave for smooth leather

After you sit on the weaver for a while it ages and looks much smoother

Its still leather

I dunno dude, it's been awhile, but the last L I sat in I could swear had leather inserts and no weave.
