E-Fan

Anthony,
I have one of your E-fan kits(I bought it used from another member). The kit works great except that at night when the fan kicks on the lights dim for a split second. There is another member here that has the same problem. To rectify this would it be alright to put a capacitor on the line side so that when it kicks on the power is there for start up? I was thinking of the cap that is used for car power amps. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Peter

yeah.. that should work... you should only need about a 1/4 farad... and even that is probably overkill..

I'm an electrician in the navy, but not a expert. I have some experience though..

Evo,

It happens with all fan kits, ours or even the ones on cars from the Factory . You could do the cap idea but you would have to do two of them if you didnt want it to happen at all since there is a high and low side.
