short question version
Is there a way to keep E4OD from downshifting at WOT on the dyno?

longer version
I am doing a 427 with PimpxShift this winter.
Along with trans rebuild and Gearvendor among other list of mods.
I wanted some base line numbers with the stock set up.
But I got thinking, I don't know of a way to hold it in 3rd gear.
It will be doable with the tuner, but I wanted stock numbers.

Thoughts?

PxS has manual mode and it follows the shifter. It's it the tranmission portion of the tuning.

I've used it a couple of times when my speedometer has gone bonkers.

No way to do it with the oem computer. You could dyno in 2nd gear both ways for a comparison

Thanks
I didn't figure there would be a way with the stock ECM

I've checked out the shift controls in the PxS.
One of the main things I want to do is only allow 1st and 2nd, for autocrossing.

How bad do you want it? Since it's an electronically controlled trans, you could build a device that plugs into the trans and allows you to choose which gear it's in. You'd pull it onto the dyno, plug in your device to give it third gear and only third gear while on the dyno, and then remove it before you leave.

Be honest....Not that bad. haha
As soon as I get home Monday I will be install of the PxS, starting the winter build.
If I would have thought more about this a few weeks ago. I might try and do something like that.
