chip and pully cost

:? I recently had a 5#pully for526.86 installed 319.00 for the part and adiablochip from my ford dealer tunned by johnny lightning,the chip was350.00 labor was 89.00 total 439.00,was i over charged if so how.
 
well 5# pulley from JL with belt is $245.00
a diablo chip is $250.00 unless you got the flip chip which is $375. so yes i would say you were overcharged :(
 
I do not know of to many people that go to dealer to have work done. Unless you have to for warranty and even then you get screwed. Take a look arround at dealer the next time you go in and ask yourself who has to pay for all of this.
 
526.86 for 5# pulley for labor. it took me an hour tops to change my bottom pulley at home. that seems way high. the chip sounds about right for labor. a shop always trys to get 1hr labor.
