BigD former NLOC owner and Lightning Fest organizer has passed.

Many of you remember Dwight - aka BigD
He took over NLOC when it was floundering many years ago.
He organized LightningFests and loved getting together with Lightning owners and fans.
A number of years ago he retired to the mountains of NC and left the site to me rather than sell it or shut it down.

After a long fight with Cancer, he passed away this morning peacefully on his mountain paradise.
He went out on his own terms.

He was a fiercely smart, driven, renaissance man who had countless friends on many continent’s ...
He loved cooking for people and sharing his encyclopedic knowledge of cooking and wine

He will be missed.

For now please respect the family's privacy. Ill get an address for cards soon

First met Big D in 2004 at the 2nd Lightning Fest. Came to know him much better with the many years of L Fests plus a couple of World Ford Challenges. always maintained contact with he and his wife via FB. He will be missed by my wife and I plus many thousands of people across the world.
