I NEED MORE BOOST CAPT!!!
? anyone ?

or the friday night vintage drags?

Thinking this might be the year I finally go to em.
(as a spectator)

Not sure what to expect at the drags friday.

Don't know how good the Goodguys Nostalgia drags are these days. Haven't been since the early '90s and was a bit disappointed in them. Know a few guys that went though. Did hear a '38 Chevy crashed out there in the afternoon. Don't know anymore than the Chevy crashed. Don't know how bad or whose. Just hopin' it's not the one that shows up on Friday nights sometimes at PR when we race CCCA.

Goodguys Northwest Nats are REALLY good though ! Went out there today (Friday) with a buddy. Saturday is the best day but today there was about 1600 cars (and trucks) hangin' out. We figured we'd spend around 4 hours there. Got in the gate at 1 PM and for some reason we finally walked out just before 9 PM ! Saw too many people we both know causing us to stop and BS for a bit then move on a little further to stop and BS a bit and so on and so on and so on. Since Goodguys opened up the year cutoff to 1972 the show draws much more diverse selection in cars. Street rods, hot rods, rat rods, street machines, muscle cars, and the unusual........

Naturally, it doesn't make any sense not to have a pic or two. Now I will walk by Deuces all day long 'cause they're so "common" '40 Fords are kinda the same way. Tri five Chevies, it's gonna take something really special to turn my head. It's the unusual, the unique, the "off the wall" cars that will get my undivided attention. Like these....

Found this "unique" engine tucked in a car. Was so surprised I forgot to take a pic of the car ! engine is tucked into a '37 flatback sedan....

A '40 Deluxe sedan. Nice car but the reason it caught my attention is the flames. Look carefully at the flames. With good work by the painter the flames look 3D as the licks go over and under other flames. Nice trickery to make the flames look like they go over and under. That's impressive work !

A Tall T C-dan. Got the look, even has a flatmotor.....no wait, that's not a flatmotor, it's those valve cover extensions to make a small block Chevy look kinda like a flatmotor at a glance. Still, with the "look", the "stance", the injector stacks and being a Tall T sedan it got my camera pointed at it.

Yep, it's an Econoline. Larry Watson inspired panel paint, yellow side glass (well okay, plexiglass or Lexan), side pipes, and gobs of late '50s early '60s custom touches, it made me turn my head and camera...

And lastly, my personal favorite. These will always make me turn my head....'28 -'29 Tudors.

Yeah, it's definitely worth goin' out there. These few pics are the smallest example of what's out there and just a little of what attracted my attention.

What a great show! Geez, my feet hurt from walking all over that place looking at rows and rows of cars...I should have worn more appropriate foot wear.

Thanks for posting this up...it was good to get a heads up.
