Anybody Else Miss The Trans Am Series?

I'm sittin here kinda bored on a Saturday evening flipping through the channels. I stop on the Speed Channel and watch a little of what's goin on in Sebring ... but it just doesn't keep my attention.

I miss the old SCCA Trans Am series.

Any of you guys remember that?
 
Yeah they were much more interesting back then. The newer series is ok but the cars just don't do it for me. I am kinda liking the gen 6 NASCAR at least it looks more like the showroom cars.
