whats the best way to build the stock block to handle 600/800 and what trans. would best suit that a built C4 with trans brake or a C5? Its going into a foxbody stang. its a turbo build so im leaning on a C4 just need some input. i dont need a stocker kit i think that might be overkill.

that much power would split a production 302 block in half. Need an aftermarket block....

Best way to build a 302 for that much power would be to sell that block and put the money towards an aftermarket block. Unless you feel really lucky. C4 shold be just fine with that much power.

you are definetly going to need a block...most seem to slit anywhere north of 450hp

Why not stuff a 351W in? That power level would be doable w/ a properly equipped stock 351W block.
