twin tanks, to a single (gas)

I think that I would like to replace the 2 smaller tanks that came on my 1992 flareside to a larger 32 gallon like my old FSB had. Has anyone on here done this, and if so will this be a simple surgery?

I did a search before I asked, and didn't really find what I was looking for. The couple of posts relating to this spoke of wanting to do this, but I don't believe anyone posted that they actually went through with it. The posts pretty much just said that the big tanks hang low, and are ugly.

That's weird, maybe your search was limited to the "How To" section which is generally articles posted on how to do something. There's also a Gen 1 section with most of folks stories and build info, there's a lot of options which as why there's probably not a straightforward How To dual to single tank setup.

Here's some hits, you might also change your search words like single tank or Bronco tank, etc

Outstanding assistance sir! Thank you for your help with with the search. Jamie V, great job with your tank. Been cooler if ya had shared your link instead of just telling me to just "do a search" though. I do believe i will look into your plans.

Thank you sir. That is indeed what I had in mind. I was just uncertain as to whether or not anyone went that route as its seems that many preferred the twin tank set up vs the big single. Again, thank you.

twin tanks, to a single (gas)

Sean, there are so many guys who have either just eliminated the front tank, gone with a bronco rear tank, F250 rear tank, custom rear tank, fuel cell, or sumped rear tank. Were not sure the route that you want to go so its hard to post links not knowing which direction you want to go.

Also we would have to search for the posts/thread to be able to post a link just like youd have to search.
