Mounted and tested out. Got a slight rub issue to fix,but otherwise all good. Rides very nice and the traction is WAY better than the DRs. Had to loose the letters,on the outside at least

I am. It gets beat on every time I take it out for a spin!

Hopefully it survives until Spookfest 2020...that is,if WE survive too!

That's the way mine is too 205k miles on stock bottom end and I beat on it every time I go log and test. Probably making some good power too.

I don't run antifreeze,so I've been looking for something to use that will prevent corrosion. Both of these had good reviews on Summit so trying out. Just put the flush in today, will be leaving it in until the weekend, I guess.

    Brian,.....

Did you use the Summit Racing Coolant by itself,...OR,..... did you mix any distilled water with it?

I've never used that particular racing coolant,.....and I was just curious. I always ran 100% water with Redline Water Wetter in mine.

Haven't tried the coolant yet, still flushing. But it's ready to use as is,and you can top off with water if needed. I use to run Redline WW also, but on teardown was finding a grease like buildup in the water ports of the heads. Looked like white lithium grease. I was reading about VP Racings new coolant, and it was getting bad reviews, with some mentions of the Summit brand being better. This of course on the Summit website, lol.

I like the simplicity of water and an additive, it's cheap and easy, and not a mess to deal with. The Summit Coolant might be all the things bad about antifreeze - expensive, smelly, and nasty to work with..I'll post up when I try it.

Brian, I've used the thermocure and the summit coolant and both are great!! Some engine builders will void their warranty if you run glycol based coolant. It really helps with the corrosion, rust, and electrolysis when running aluminum heads and intakes on iron blocks. To me the good out weighs the bad you have listed.

    ^ All good to hear,Mathew.

Been driving and tuning all day, great day to be off work! I upgraded the Holley from V2 to V4 software/firmware a few weeks ago. Wanted to try out the injector end angle table,vs one set IEA setting for the entire MAP that the V2 had. Liking the results. Other changes in the software caused some tune changes that I had to work out, today was good.
