Is the coolant tube L specific? I was thinking no.

Interestingly, I'm about 90% certain the fitting on my '95 doesn't have that circuit on it at all. The forward-facing facet is smooth except for the ECT sensor.
Is the long nipple on an L straight, threaded, & removable like that one, meaning the hex body is threaded for the intake? On all other 5.8L trucks, the curved long nipple is brazed to the hex body, which doesn't spin while its threaded base (with larger hex) is screwed into or out of the intake.

On non-Ls, the straight threaded heater outlet is only used on 5.0Ls.

The engineering number stamped into the Aluminum swage collar is F3TH 18C266 DB on my '93 F250 >8500GVWR, and F3TH 18C266 CB on 2 others in my junkpile (one of which I think came from a '96 Bronco 5.8L).

I think it is even cheaper off a van.
Pretty sure this guy posted on the forum previously. This would be a pretty nice setup for someone wanting to restore or take their truck back stock, but way too much $$$ if you ask me.
