Truck running rough

Truck has a high idle, strong fuel smell (kind of smells like old fuel) hard shifting and bad hesitation, truck is pretty much all stock, could it be the map?

Check codes by using the paper clip trick and counting the flashes or do what I did buy a code reader from Autozone or someplace and retrieve the codes. Don't start buying a bunch of stuff and guessing. Check your plugs, wires, connectors make sure you got good gas. Check fuel pressure or use the other tank and see how it runs.

Check for vacuum leaks. The PCV hose would be a good starting place, then the Evan hoses.

It has all new plugs and wires cap and button on it, just started doing it yesterday. I haven't had a chance to run the codes yet. I'll check pcv. And vac lines also. Front tank pump don't work at the moment lol
