I got these rules from a friend that has put on several car/truck shows with her club.

CLASSIFICATION SHEET

3rd Brake Light

Dust Cover (those things that go inside your rims)

5 Point Items:
Tonneau Cover
Light Engine Dress (a little bling under the hood)
Vinyl/Tape Graphics
Custom Stereo
TV
Light Under Carriage Dress(eg: polished diff cover, etc.)
Shaved Wipers
Headlight Swap
Bumper Swap
Custom Grille
Custom Hood
Roll Pan (non-molded)
Custom Mirrors
Bumper Cover
C-Notch
Spray in Bed Liner / Bedrug
Light Interior Dress (bling in the cab)

The show classification and judging went very well this year. We will use the same system, and hopefully the same judges next year.;i

This is all stuff that no Lightning owner in his right mind would do. Except for Custom Paint w/ Graphics. That might be done.


I dont see how that applies to the NLOC show.

There is a Chop-Top Lightning in the NE USA (around the Boston area I think) and there was a HD truck with suicide doors at Lightning/Harley TruckFest this year...so never say never!;)

As a matter of fact, I wanted to delete those items, but Brooks convinced me that there is always someone out there that does the unlikely. I do believe that unibody should be deleted, but the rest???:?
 
I did not know there is a chop top Lightning in the Boston area. Never seen it. Is it a Gen1 or Gen2?

I am sorry I missed Lightningfest this years, the financing just was not there. Both my father and I had a great time at the first one though.

I am going to make it to this year, even if it bankrupts me.
 
the judging that was done this year with it's classification/criteria was fine. let's make it simple and keep it the same.

And how is having that stuff on the list hurting anything?

It isn't.


Some people buy Lightnings & make them into show only vehicles.
I know of a couple with chop tops, and several with front cap swaps.

Just because you don't like something, doesn't make it wrong for someone else to like it. ;B



BigD: Didn't we talk about adding some stuff to the list? Do you want to add something for performance parts? (built engines, etc)
