Is a caravan being planned for this event? I am seriously planning my vacation time around this event. My wife and I have done several Mustang events that started in Calif and Nevada and ended in Atlanta and Charlotte along with World Ford Challenge I and had a blast along the way. Stop at speed shops/lunch with local L groups/that kind of stuff.

There are many caravans to LightningFest, and a trophy is given each year for the farthest driven vehicle. Usually one of the folks for the Seattle WA convoy....last year ~1960 miles one way.:tu:

The event convoy section is at this link:

If you want to lead a convoy, start a thread and build the group. The largest single convoy was from Texas in 2004 and had almost 60 trucks.;g

Well, if ya feel like it you can hook up with our convoy coming out of Washington. We'll be in Denver the night of the 18th and stopping in Salina, KS the night of the 19th. Ours is sort of a tour on the way so we're not movin' fast or coverin' a great distance each day. Making 2000 miles of drive to get to L Fest those of us traveling want to "enjoy the ride". Lots of FABULOUS scenery to see until east of Denver for the WashLO group. After that it's kinda flat, straight, and boring but still a few things to see....here's the link to our convoy.
