spark plug came out

anybody know how to eliminate this problem. my 2000 lightning decided it didn't want all 8 plugs it just wants 7 so it shot one out. im having her fixed as we speak hopefully. the thing is im scared its just gonna keep doing this can I change my heads with newer ones or am I just sol.:mad:
 
You can change to 8 thread heads. You need to check your plugs at every oil change or anytime you hear a ticking plug. Always change plugs on a cold engine.
 
I do a plug change every other year- 10K miles. Torque them to spec- no more or less and never had one loosen up, I have a 01 with the 4 thread heads too. Secret is like fishen-nole says check them occasionally and you will be fine.
