I leave Wednesday for Las Vegas with qualifying school on Thursday, 1/2 Mile High Noon Challenge on Friday and the 90 mile main event on Sunday 9/17. Looking forward to the experience!

We had a fantastic time at this event and will go back for future events. While as a rookie, we were limited to an average speed of 110 MPH over the 90 mile run, it is hard describe the high level of concentration required in sustaining a high rate of speed on a public highway. Open Road Racing is a very dangerous sport as you are not on a controlled course with the potential of animals crossing your path, the weather elements and mechanical failure that can lead to disaster. With that said, we will be back at Hwy 318 and step it up to the 125 MPH class next year. Here are a few random pictures.

Congrats George !! Looks like it was a BLAST to be cruising at 110 plus ! Watching for the animals, weather, etc well that's the navigator's job......right !
