As some of you know, WMS has been working closely with one of the east coast's best Fabrication shops. This shop has done quite a few Lightnings over the past few years, BTJ's, Nuno's, Johnny A/C's, and 99SVTLightnings was the first. Now this company is ready to offer it in kit form for those wanting to either install it themselves or take it to a local fabricator/welder for installation.
The kit will consist of the following;
All tubing needed cut to fit, notched, cut and drilled were needed
Swing outs for both sides
All needed outriggers for where the bars mount just off the frame
A brand new aftermarket slider with tinted lexan and rear bar gaskets already fitted to slider.
Whoever does the install will have to cut the floor at needed points and thru the bed for mounting/welding, they will also need to weld the swing out connections into the bars due to variances in preference of where the pins should be.
It is a moly rollbar kit that is totally custom made, there is no other rollbar kit on the market that equals this one, plus its the only rollbar that is being installed in Lightnings that has rear gaskets to keep the rain/weather out.
Now on to pricing;
If you were to take your Lightning to this shop for custom fabrication and installation, it would cost $2800.
The kit itself is $1900 plus shipping.
Because of the custom nature of this rollbar kit there has to be a minumum of five (5) kits ordered at a time. It has already taken alot of time working on the donor truck to come up with templates that can be duplicated, but it also takes alot of time to make up the kit to begin with along with the rear slider.
THERE IS NO MINIMUM # TO ORDER, SINGLE KITS CAN BE ORDERED, ALSO< NOTE PRICE CHANGE DUE TO INCREASE IN PRICE OF MOLY
Included in the price of the kit there will be a "hints and tips" section to help whoever does the installation.
These kits can only be ordered thru Woodbine Motorsports and not directly from the fabricator. Also, any technical information or installation information should also be directed towards WMS and not the fabricator. They run an extremely busy shop and wont have time to answer all the questions that may arise. WMS will handle all of that.
