Ride Improvment

I am looking for advise on improving the ride in my 95. Very choppy on most streets. I am not into racing so the handling can suffer some and not be a problem. Does anyone have experience with rear spring changes or different shocks.

I changed to a softer Monroe shock in the front and it really helped soften the ride.
