It's a custom unit made by Chip Clarke (Madramper). He did a really limited run of them a couple years back. I think he made like 7 or 10 of 'em.

I'm not sure exactly what he's up to these days... he checks in now and then but I haven't heard from him in bit.

He may be willing to put one or two together so you might wanna try to touch base with and see what's up if you think you might want one.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try and contact him. I'm restoring a red 1994 L and all of yall's ideas and projects help out a bunch. Although I'm new to the Gen.1 lightning scene, I'm not new to the lightning world I used to own a black Gen.2 but got rid of it. Thanks again.

hello everyone this thread kicks butt!! i just got a 93 and have been rebuilding it for the last few weeks! she has snow balled a little but it coming along great here are to pic more to come!!! great job keeping these bad azz trucks on the road!!

here is one of the wheels I restored on my 93 lightning. After doing the wheels I decided to
tear the truck apart and restore it. The paint I used on the rims was vht cast aluminum.

Very very nice, what did you use for the insulation around Plenum? Mine looks like your first picture.

You can buy the air box insulation at any auto parts store - just remove your old insulation very carefully so you have a template to cut the new stuff.

I watched in horror as the lightning I Bought from my buddy was peeling in the sun. This poor thing needed TLC.........So far, it's in primer awaiting paint. I'm currently trying to find a good(not overpriced) place to pickup emblems, exhaust, 3rd brake light, roll pan, door window strips, steering wheel, mirrors....etc.....
