pit bike/golf cart rules

  1. Golf carts OK
  2. Pit bikes will check

I assume that Shawn and I will have our usual Drag Race with rental carts?! :headscratch:

I've always know pit bikes and 4wheelers to be welcome at KCIR guys. You should be good.

Well,.......

At L-Fest #4, I rode my Razor scooter to the restroom from my pit area and I left it running while I went inside. When I came back out, some guy was sitting beside my scooter on his Harley saying "You can't ride those". I was like,.....RIGHT ON Brother,...."I got ya". ;)
Then he started running his mouth, saying he was the track operator,....AKA "King $hit".

I was like chill out dude, I didn't know we wern't supposed to have them. Then he proceeded to tell me to take it back to my pit area (in a smart arse tone) and not to be riding it anymore,.....AND If I was caught on it again, I would be escorted off the property. I promptly obliged, but I didn't like it.

I know rules are rules,.......BUT come on,......The NLOC was basicly renting the whole track. A little lenience & courtesy on the tracks part would have been nice. I wasn't acting like a hoodlum or cruising it all over the place. I was just using it to make a run to take a fricken pi$$ for petes sake.

SO,.....with that said. If they still have the same dude in charge, then beware if you have a pit bike.

Hmmm. Well, the track is under new ownership now. I was at a few events there this fall and pit bikes were everywhere. Maybe they dont care anymore or maybe they were just letting it slide. :?

I will find out from the track what is except and what is not I have to go out there next month so I will ask then.

And as far as the golf kart race oh ya you know I'm down ;)

when the new management came aboard a few years ago they posted that if you wanted to have a pit bike ect you needed a permit from the track---dont know if that is still true---so maybe shawn can call & find out for us

pit bikes ect

i was at KCIR this past sunday for the Vamp race & ask the track managers about this ----they said there is a $10 one time fee & a proof of insurance form to sign (dont need the ins but you have to sign it) you can do this at the gate when you come in or at the trl just inside the gate---they say this is a NHRA rule because of all the accidents that have happened at NHRA tracks around the country--(they said even for track rentals like LIGHTNINING FEST) hope this helps
