My new truck

I am one of those who s enjoying and following along, too! ^^^ I am eye balling the fitech, too for my future 60's mustang project.

Finally had time to get this gas tank cleaned out and reassembled with a new pump sock and filter. The 5 micron post filter was severely plugged which was likely most of the issue. Low vacuum and associated late/hard shifting was caused by retarded ignition timing. All straightened out and he's running like never before. Finally had time for a wash yesterday and also did clay bar, polished the hood and waxed. Here's my little test spot on the hood.

Full on pics when the weather clears up.

Any doubts I had about the FiTech have gone by the wayside after correcting the timing issue, looking forward to more smiles and miles, driveability is Soooo good

Here he is after clay bar and wax. Just a few things to wrap up like the gauge surround, wing window seals and electric cooling fan.

Amazing what a little wax can do for 39 year old paint!

It has been couple months, how s the fitech treating you? I am looking to get into it for my future classic car.

Pretty good, a few gripes. The accel pump function and starting fuel do not self tune so still getting it dialed in. Also thought the motor was running too cool but it turns out the coolant temp sensor they come with is garbage
