My Mod JLP Race IC Tank

when I had my stock tank and putting ice in it I could hear the meizure pump chewing up the ice.

to prevent this on my JLP Race Tank I did this:

I went to Home Depot and went to their vent section and they had a roll of this mesh/screen, it is about 6-8 in wide and maybe 10 ft long.

I rolled it over and pinched and folded the end over, then zip-tied the other end around the bung.

on my drive to the track I realised if I put too much ice in it could push the 'screen' down and off.

so next time I drain the tank I'll put a stainless steel hose clamp on there.

If anyone want's me to mail them a piece of the wire mesh let me know.

It held up just fine at the track with the zip-ties on there!!

I've never had an issue with mine. I put a full 7 lb bag of ice in there before each run. I'll hear the tank popping like popcorn with the ice clanking around, but I never had the ice get down to the meziere pump and make any noise since it all floats at the top. Nifty idea though.

And is that like a finger socket? Pretty nifty if it is!

I've talked to a few people the have had an ice chunk slow the flow down a lot

I have the meizere pump and that things sucks, and it sucks a lot of water!!!

that is an LED extension, it is really handy to put on an extension to get the light just where you need it!!
