HALO (Houston Area Lightning Owners) and TALON (Texas Area Lightning Owners North) just got it scheduled. It will be in Hallsville near Longview, TX. Wanted to know if any of you guys were interested. We will talk about the final details when we get closer to it.
So far it will be $25 entry fee. There will be trophies for 1st and 2nd place of brackets. (most likely 3rd and 4th place too)
Will have a trophy for the best Reaction Time.
Will also have a trophy for the L with the quickest e.t.
Will have a trophy for the best looking Lightning also. (vote by all)
Of course it will be on a Saturday afternoon and the track will open about 5 p.m. We will run T&T til 8-9 p.m. and then we will run our brackets til we finish. (about midnight)
The track is having other programs that night too. One is the "True Backhalf Shootout". It is a heads up class and the track is setup for 1/8 mile for them, so we will get to watch some 4 second cars when we are cooling down. They will also run T&T all night and a trophy class for the locals that come for points races.
I hope all of you in the neighboring area can schedule this on your calender. This will be a very fun event. We are expecting 40 Lightnings to show right now. Would like to see more.
If we end up having a rainout it will be the following Saturday.
